Northwoods Historic District commemorative sign-toppers

The Northwoods Historic District in Doraville, GA needed sign-toppers to mark the district's status. After a lot of thought and a vote by the neighborhood, the chosen sign is the one pictured above. Its shape reflects the mid-century modern design of much of the neighborhood, and is unlike any other sign-topper I could find, giving the district its own identity as a modern historic district, not an "antique" one. Joel Ramirez helped make this design happen as well, via font, color, and content suggestions.
Slightly earlier design. The neighborhood organization had people vote on where to put the "Est. 1952" text or whether to keep it at all. My vote was not to keep it, but I was overridden. :)
Earlier sign concept. The "Northwoods" typeface is drawn from the neighborhood's already existing "welcome" signs which are posted at each major entrance to the neighborhood, as I felt this would fit a consistent identity.
